Carlos Penavega and his partner Whitney Carson landed in fourth place in season 21. They definitely should have made it to the final two. Of course they weren't going to win, but they were a strong team. At a point during the competition, I thought that they had a huge chance of winning. Carlos was good at ballroom dances, and he was good at jazz. He was never afraid to try something new, which is a risk. I expected more from his freestyle hip hop dance. I thought it would be more fun and energetic. Sadly, I felt like Carlos didn't do much dancing, just walking around and clapping in his freestyle. I feel like if their freestyle was stronger they could have made it through to the next night. When he left the ballroom, he explained how he loved being on the show and that it was one of the best experiences of his life. I loved watching him every week because he preformed his best.

Season 21 of Dancing With The Stars is over, and I think the right couple won. Bindi Irwin and her partner Derek Hough were the champions. They definitely deserved it. This was Derek's sixth win, which is four more wins than any other pro. Bindi was always such a happy person which got her tons of votes. Not only did she have a great personality, but she was an amazing dancer. As I look back at her dances, there wasn't a single dance that I thought was boring. She's such an energetic dancer who brings so much to the ballroom. Derek said that she was one of the best partners he has ever had on the show. Her freestyle dance made the judges cry. It was a beautiful contemporary piece that was dedicated to her father. It was one of the best freestyles I have ever seen on the show. It made me want Bindi to win even more. In the end, Bindi definitely deserved the Mirrorball trophy.

This week's episode of Dancing With The Stars was really shocking. It was the week before the semi-finals so the judges were extra tough with their critiques. Alek has been the underdog in the competition for a long time, and I thought it was time he went home--yet he didn't. Alexa and her husband Carlos were both in jeopardy! Everyone was shocked, including Alexa and Carlos. They were both crying uncontrollably before the show announced who would be leaving. Sadly Alexa was eliminated. I think of the two couples in jeopardy, the right couple went home. Alexa was very upset, but you could tell that Carlos felt really bad. You could hear him whisper to Alexa when her name was called for being eliminated, "I wish it was me." It was so sweet. Alexa had great appreciation. In her speech before she left the ballroom she said that she left in the best way.  She also said that she had such a great time on the show and that she's glad she did this with her husband. I'm curious to see whether Alexa will be in the audience at the next episode routing for Carlos. This episode was definitely the most heart-warming episode yet.

This week on Dancing With The Stars many important things happened. Erin Andrews returned to the ballroom as her place as host and Nick Carter announced that he and  his wife are having a baby boy. Nick also received immunity for getting a perfect score. He deserved it. His dance was a beautiful contemporary piece, which he dedicated to his wife. Bindi and Derek danced a fun and energetic foxtrot. It was very amusing to watch, but it definitely was not her best dance. Carlos danced a salsa with his partner Whitney. They received a trio of 9s. I was disappointed that my favorite competitors did not do as well as I hoped. The second round of dances were "dance offs". Each couple chose another couple to dance with. For example, Tamar and Val verses Alexa and Mark. They danced a cha cha. I liked both dances, but Alexa's was better. Alexa won that round giving her extra points to her overall night score. Andy Grammer got sent home. I thought Alek should have gotten eliminated, but I thought the choice was fair. Next week there will be dance duets, which I am really excited about. Hopefully next week's episode is better than ever.

The seventh week of Dancing With The Stars definitely had its ups and downs. The judges were being tough this week, giving couples lower scores than they should have received. I really enjoyed watching Alexa and Mark dance an Edward Scissor Hands inspired Paso Doble. Everything about the dance was great. It would have been nice if they received a 10, but the judges gave them all 9s. Bindi and her partner received a perfect score. They had a good dance, but it did not stand out. My favorite dance was performed by Carlos and Whitney, dancing to a Phantom Of The Opera inspired Paso Doble. Carlos performed a ton of difficult cape work, but he pulled it off! Their score was 28/30, which was shocking. I was hoping for a better score. Every year around Halloween, Dancing With The Stars has two group dances. The couples were split into two groups and had to perform a freestyle routine. Which ever team has a better score wins. Team Nightmare went first. Their dance was the best Halloween freestyle I have ever seen on the show. They were given a 30/30! Team Who You Gonna Call made mistakes in their routine, which ended with them getting 28/30. I think the group dances were judged fairly. The couple who went home was Hayes Grier and Emma Slater. Everyone was shocked. They did not deserve to go home. I felt bad for Hayes because you could tell he really wanted to win. In my opinion, this episode was disappointing. I hope next week's episode is fantastic.

This week on Dancing With the Stars all the performances were inspired by famous dances. Tons of fun dances were performed, and guest judge Olivia Newton-John thought so as well. Andy Grammer, Bindi Irwin, and Tamar Braxton were the three stars' who revived perfect scores. Andy's dance was full of spirit and energy, but I think it was not worth a perfect score. Bindi's Dirty Dancing-inspired rumba was beautiful. Bindi's partner Derek admit he was nervous for the big lift, but he was glad that it worked out. This past week Tamar's  self confidence went down... a lot. The previous week she did not revive good scores which upset her, and she was sick. Poor Tamar! Gladly, she surprised everyone with a cool Janet Jackson-inspired dance. The choreography was really good. Paula and Louis were eliminated, which was expected. Next week's elimination will be really hard. Everyone left in the competition is definitely a contender. The next episode is Halloween themed. It's my favorite week in the whole season! A dance will be performed by each couple, as well as a group dance. There will be two teams. Derek has never lost a group dance. I am excited to see if he achieves this again. This week's dazzling performances definitely made it a good episode.

Week 5 of Dancing With the Stars definitely had some changes. This week, each person traded dancers. Everyone had a different partner for this week, but do not worry next week everything is back to normal. Maskim Chmerkovskiy was the guest judge this week. He really surprised me with his comments and scores. He was not as harsh as I thought he would be. The first perfect score of the season was received by Alexa and Derek. They danced a tango that had a Halloween vibe. To be honest, I did not think their dance was that great. Carlos and Lindsay danced a quickstep, which is one of the hardest dances to perform. They pulled it off! They received at 39/40. Their dance was my favorite performance of the night. Another shocking performance was a rumba performed by Alek and Emma. They were really into the dance, and they loved dancing with each other. The dance was beautiful. Sadly, they received a 29/40! I was truly upset, and wished they were given better scores. While I think Olivia Newton-John would be a good contestant, next week she will be joining the judges table. No one was eliminated this week, but next week someone is going home. I personally think Paula has to go. As things go back to normal, I hope next week's episode is full of fun performances and surprises.

Week 4 of Dancing With The Stars shocked me! The host Tom Burgeron was replaced by Alfonso Ribeiro for the night. Alfonso made everyone laugh and he was definitely a good host. Next week the champion of season 18, Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be a  guest judge. I bet he will give out harsh comments on the dances he judges because he is a perfectionist. I was very surprised when Allison Holker announced she was 4 months pregnant! She said she will continue this season with Andy and try her best. Hayes Grier performed a contemporary dance with his partner Emma Slater. The dance was beautiful. Hayes and Emma received a 27/30, which they seemed very happy receiving. The dance of the night was Bindi Irwin's contemporary piece. Bindi and Derek lit  up the stage with their graceful jumps and lifts. They received a 28/30 and got the first 10 of the season. Gary Busey and Carlos Penavega were in jeopardy, which  surprised everyone. Gary Busey got eliminated, which I thought was fair. I was sad to find out Carlos was in jeopardy. Even though he does not get the best scores, I think he has the potential to win.  While the dances were good this week, I thought the fillers (guest host, Allison's pregnancy, etc.) made the show more exciting.

This week's episode of Dancing With The Stars was definitely filled with tons of shockers. This week's theme was TV Icons. Alfonso Ribeiro was the guest judge. I think he gave out  fair scores, and critiques. Nick Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess danced a beautiful Viennese Waltz to the theme song of the show Downtown Abbey. They received a 36/40, which I was very disappointed about. I felt their performance was worth a higher score. Alexa Penavega also received a 36/40 with her jazz dance to the Breaking Bad theme song. Her performance was very entertaining and fun to watch. Her performance contained many lifts and cool tricks. Alexa and Nick were tied for first place on this week's leaderboard. The show shocked everyone in the ballroom when it announced Kim Zolciak was disqualified. Kim had a stroke that week and was not able to perform. Hopefully Kim will feel better soon. Next week's dances are dedicated to the dancers' most memorable year. I am very curious about what to expect for next week.

The second week of the Dancing With The Stars competition was full of surprises. The theme this week was Hometown Glory which featured two episodes of Dancing With The Stars. Night one was the stars' chance to dedicate a dance to their hometown. The second night was the pros' hometown dance. It was really cool to learn about each couple, and where they came from. The first day of competition resulted with Bindi Irwin, and her partner Derek Hough receiving the highest score of the night, as well as Chaka Khan being eliminated. The second night was my favorite episode so far this season. Tamar Braxton danced a fun Charleston, which gave her the highest score of the night. Victor Espinoza got eliminated that night as well. After watching all the dances that night, I think the right couple went home. Next Monday night the theme is TV Icons! I am really excited about Alfonso Ribeiro being a guest judge next week. I feel like next week's episode will be full of fun performances. Watch to see who has the best performance.

The new season of Dancing With The Stars just started, and I'm already super excited! The premiere aired on Monday night, and I was very pleased with everyone's dance. Bindi Irwin, and her partner Derek Hough, as well as Nick Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess got a score of 24/30, which was the highest score of the night. Carlos PenaVega, and Tamar Braxton recived a score of 23/30. Carlos's wife, Alexa PenaVega recieved a score of 22/30. Alek Skarlatos, Andy Grammar, and  Hayes Grier were given the score of 21/30. Sadly, Paula Deen, Gary Busey and Victor Espinoza recieved a low score of 15/30. 62 year old, Chaka Khan recived a score of 13/30. Chaka was definately fun to watch!Surprisingly, Kim Zoliak-Biermann receieved a shocking score of 12/30. Yikes! Next week the first couple will be eliminate. Who do you think will be sent home first?
